McEwen probably wouldn’t have made that final selection, but he should have at least been given an opportunity. We will never again see McEwen turn a pedal in anger, but the stories of his exploits will live on. His rivalry with Stuart O’Grady and his... Full Article at The Roar
His climbing form was so impressive and with his pedigree we have to ask whether he is now a genuine dark horse for the Tour de France, even though his Rabobak team is more likely to be set up for sprint wins for our own Mark Renshaw. It is proving to... Full Article at The Roar

Let's delve deeper into this dusty old element of the Giro... alla flippa! We already knew that the points competition has only occasionally shaken out as a sprinters' deal in recent years. Daniele Bennati won in 2008, but since then the points jersey... Full Article at Podium Cafe

We are honored to have Tour de France winner Cadel Evans and members of the BMC Racing Team commuting and running errands on belt-drive bikes ... Just like everyday bicycle commuters, pro racers also want a transportation bike that is clean and low-maintenance.
Four legs good, two wheels bad? Hardly. The Giro is the lead-up event to the Tour de France, which begins on June 30 with a prologue stage in Liege. Cadel Evans is repeating last year's Tour preparation by not competing in the Giro. But even without... Full Article at The Age

Tour de Romandie done for another year. Wiggins obviously the man of the week. No results for us but a good week of work
I think I can fight for a top result. It is clear that many [time] trial kilometers favors Bradley Wiggins and Cadel Evans.
For sure it will be difficult to make the same result as last year, considering how I've felt in the last days
Cadel Evans of South Australia's medical fraternity
It's hard to (recover) in these weather conditions and with this hard racing
It's very much like Sally Pearson rocking up having never worn her shoes. Or Cadel Evans doing a race on a bike he has sat on very few times.
I am here to help the guys and to try to help Philippe win again ... I will be racing with him here as a teammate, but at the world championships later this year, I will be racing for Australia.
First, I want to get healthy, but it’s hard with these weather conditions and this hard racing, but I hope to come to around later in the week, at least to be able to help the guys ... I hope to be ready for Romandie.
As a race with three short stages, it’s sometimes a little bit difficult to manage with the time bonuses (at the finish) and a mountain top finish
I'm a racer, I love to race and this is my job. It's my life, sometimes things go well and it all comes together
Yesterday was a good indication, I was confident ... It worked out very well today. In the last few kilometers I could hold off the attacks and take the yellow jersey home.
Maybe I am little bit ahead of where I want to be (physically). I went to Tirreno with some high hopes, but maybe my off-season wasn’t as smooth as other years ... I do not get too stressed about how things are going early in the season when I got July and other goals coming up later in the year. I just...
Coming back to France has another significance now, but I still have another Tour to do and Criterium International is another step towards that
They were getting criticised at the start of the year, but they couldn't have done much more this year
My legs are not as good as they were last year as this time ... I’m sure they’re getting better and there will be better days. But the race is much harder than last year, so that is amplifying the difference between the ones who are in shape and the rest of us.
I didn't have the legs today, so I'll try another day ... I don't have the same form as last year.
My first goal is to see where my fitness is at at
It makes it a real climber's race because it's a long climb, maybe 15 kilometres
