To win a couple of Grand Slams, the provincials, Brier, worlds, Capital One Cup, a trials spot, you always have all those goals in mind, but you never think you would get them all, so I couldn’t be happier ... Obviously, we came up a little short here, but John outplayed us, and we had a few misses we s...
It was Glenn Howard's job to throw the rock; Brent Laing's job was to help sweep it into the four-foot. Basel, Switzerland - the site of this year's worlds - is a long way from the Meaford Curling Club. And yet Laing, the long-time second on Howard's... Full Article at Simcoe.com

It's not every day that somebody like Glenn Howard calls, so it was a pretty easy decision
Brewster and the boys threw everything at us — we were a little fortunate
It's the accumulation of easy shots we've missed. Our losses have been because of mistakes we've made. What we let Glenn Howard do was what we'd been doing to other teams -- let them beat themselves.
It just feels great to win
Yeah, I think so ... We’re not really too worried about the TV cameras or whether they’re on the sheet beside us...It really doesn’t change our approach. At the end of the day, if you give up a steal of three to Glenn Howard, you’re not going to win.
You have no idea how this feels ... I had a great feeling coming into this game, and the guys were making everything. I think Wayne was curling 120 per cent in that game, and my guys were in their mid-90s. What a performance by the entire team…. You couldn’t have asked them to curl a better game in the ...
One is that it’s a about two teams — Glenn Howard and Kevin Koe. The other is that the last time I looked, there were four playoff spots.
I can’t believe that I won the Brier four times
Darn right, we’re going to give it a good shot ... I like the way we’re going. I don’t know if you know, but we’re 34-1 in our last 35 games. We’re on a bit of a run and I hope we can bring that into Basel.
The long-term goal is to secure a spot in the Olympic trials ... If we were to win the worlds, it would probably put us in the lead.
That's huge with the amount of time we put into this
To have that Canadian maple leaf on your back, there is no better feeling to have
It comes with the territory
Obviously we've lost a few finals ... Am I happy when we lose in the finals? Not at all. If we lose tomorrow, I'm not going to be very happy as well because we definitely want to win this one.
I think back to when Kevin got us (in 2010)
The amount of time and money we put into this game, that funding is massive ... You can take it and play a few more 'spiels. You can get some more training. We put it to good use.
We're going to talk about the positives, what's working, and try to build on that ... There's no use worrying about it because you'll drive yourself crazy. It's just one game.
It’s quite an amazing feat to get to that many ... Hopefully the 11th will be good to us and we’ll get our fourth win.
I’m proud to get to 11 ... I would like to have won a lot more than that. You can’t win unless you get to the finals. I want to win this one bad like we did all the others.
They know they’re going to have to play better than that ... Rob and the boys weren’t on their game, for whatever reason. Maybe they didn’t pick up on the ice. It wasn’t the vintage Rob Fowler we’re used to.
When you get on a roll like this, you want to be out there
That wasn’t one of the easiest shots I’ve ever played
Four extra-ends in a row, whew
Good for him and I'm proud of those guys because they don't get to play the big bonspiels like we do
