I hope common sense will prevail because it is in the interest of workers for the country's largest labour body in the country, the ZCTU, to be one united entity. I hope that dialogue will be speeded up so that the workers of this country will speak with one strong voice through a united body.
Looking at the national picture, Morgan Tsvangirai remains the most popularly supported politician in Zimbabwe. All the other politicians in ZANU-PF have been overshadowed by President Mugabe's grip on power and his longevity at the helm casts aspersions of their suitability as alternatives
There must be a non-violent environment so that people vote in a free and fair vote
It’s meaning is that there is no judgment at all against the respondent, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai
I cannot over-emphasise the need for government to move with speed to restore the collateral value of land and other commercial assets to leverage our natural heritage. One of the reasons our farmers and indigenous entrepreneurs have not been as successful, is the failure to access the much-needed capit...
We have engaged political institutions over this including JOMIC and the facilitators in government and even our President (Morgan Tsvangirai) to do anything they can, because this is a political issue that is undermining the Global Political Agreement and human rights
When I came here I heard there was Mr and Mrs Charamba, Mr and Mrs Shumba, so today I have brought my own so that we can all be on the same level. I am tired of being looked down upon by other men because of my previous status so now I have my own
It is regrettable that Independence Day has been monopolized and personalised by one political party. This is a national day that is greater than ZANU PF, the MDC, Mavambo or any other political formation. Independence day is a day greater than Morgan Tsvangirai, Robert Mugabe, Welshman Ncube, Arthur Mu...

There was no consensus on the current theme. While we support broad-based empowerment of the ordinary person, our colleagues have taken indigenisation to mean expropriation and nationalisation.
We find this a repugnant theme
There are people who want to perpetuate the old culture of looting and self-aggrandizement clad in the misleading name of indigenization
Indigenisation Mr Tsvangirai said his party protested against the theme in Cabinet last week. We rejected it because we find this a repugnant theme which sounds more of a slogan for a political party than an inclusive, peace-building theme which should be determined through consensus

While we reject the theme, we refuse to be chucked out of a national day which has nothing to do with ZANU-PF but has everything to do with the collective history of all Zimbabweans in their diversity
