The Lib Dem leader warned the UK was still a “long distance” from becoming a classless society, claiming there was a “rift” between state and private education. In a speech earlier this week to education charity the Sutton Trust, Mr Clegg said some... Full Article at Birmingham Post
Nick Clegg, a "communist". Vince Cable, a "socialist". This is the euphonious sound of the Tory right on the warpath – and with every marble intact. Dismiss such invective as mere boilerplate if you will, but the increasing tendency to reach for the S... Full Article at LENIN'S TOMB

So Mr Cameron must fulfil his pledge to replace the HRA with a British Bill of Rights that spells out Parliament’s supremacy in disputes with Strasbourg. Yes, this will annoy the Lib Dems. But if Nick Clegg seriously wishes to break away and go to the... Full Article at Daily Mail - UK

The problem is Nick Clegg. There is a poll today which suggests that 19 per cent of the people like the Lib Dems without Clegg; 12 per cent like Clegg without the Liberal Democrats. We would have done better with a different leader.

really sad ... I am determined that we will continue to play our role in rescuing, repairing and reforming the British economy. It's not an easy job and it can't be done overnight but our duty is to boost jobs and investment and to restore a sense of hope and optimism to our country.

It’s been a disappointing and difficult night for the Liberal Democrats. I’m really sad.
Jenny Jones coming third and possibly saving her deposit by passing 5%, with Brian Paddick coming fourth and losing his deposit, is very good news for the Greens and very worrying for Nick Clegg.
I believe that over time people will come to acknowledge our unique role, the Liberal Democrats, in this government as the only party in British politics that combines responsibility on the economy with social fairness
Because of the situation, sadly, in national politics down south and Nick Clegg's compromises, they will have to look at this and learn a lesson.
I am really sad that so many colleagues and friends, Liberal Democrat councillors... have lost their seats. It's not an easy job and it can't be done overnight, but our duty is to boost jobs and investment and to restore a sense of hope and optimism to our country.
I’m still committed to the Liberal Democratic Party and I’m certainly not angry with Nick Clegg.
There are very serious question marks about the basic accountability and corporate governance of an organisation in which, as we now know, journalists were abusing the privacy of ordinary people and flouting the law in a sustained way.
Nick Clegg is turning out to be a good leader of the Liberal Democrats
Of course I’ll go into the general election as Deputy Prime Minister.... We are here for five years.
More people would like Mrs Thatcher to be in charge than the current prime minister or his predecessors, a poll reveals. The Iron Lady scored 4.5 out of 10 in a YouGov poll — pipping David Cameron into second, with 4.2 out of 10. Nick Clegg was the least favourite of all party chiefs, scraping 2.9.
I do very much hope we will hold on in Cheltenham and, if you look at the positive changes Liberal Democrats have made in terms of value for money, the green agenda and promoting local businesses then I think we can demonstrate a strong record here.
Being an apprentice has been very good and it gives me the perfect blend of practical experience and education. I enjoyed meeting Nick Clegg and it was a privilege to have a member of the Government come to our company and he seemed interested in what we were all doing.
The reason we are visiting Spirax Sarco is because apprenticeships provide a bridge between education and work
Nick Clegg can sugar-coat it however he wants, but it is a Conservative government primarily.
I think we've already got an agreement Jeremy Hunt will go the Leveson pretty quick.
I'm still very much a fan of Nick Clegg
We are going to take a bit longer to deal with the deficit, rather than simply take another axe to public spending right now.
If the [local election] results are very bad he should set a very short timescale and let the party replace him by the end of the year…I don’t dislike Nick Clegg, but business is business.
Jeremy Hunt has made his statement to Parliament and will provide more information to the Leveson Inquiry. That process should be allowed to happen.
The reality at this election is that only Welsh Labour is able to stand up for Wales against the Tory/Lib Dem government. Only a strong Welsh Labour vote will send David Cameron and Nick Clegg a message they will understand.
I clearly disagree with that because as you quite rightly point out that was a Government decision – not popular in Cornwall. I dare say that you might be able to find some Conservative candidates who will be campaigning against this so-called 'pasty tax'.

Nick Clegg and Stockholm: They think that his deputy, Nick Clegg, forced him into the confrontation over the referendum and some of them fear that Cameron has become a victim of what is known as Stockholm syndrome, when hostages start to support their own captors.
Nick Clegg and Wales: Mr Clegg said the decision to award a new city in England, Scotland and Wales, and a lord mayoralty in Northern Ireland, reflected the significance of every part of the United Kingdom in Diamond Jubilee year.
