No one sets their budget in December and then re-evaluates it in February. That would be a recipe for instability. People want certainty in taxes and we've given them that. We will not be increasing income tax, corporate tax or employer's burden in terms of PRSI. But we do have to raise some revenue
By avoiding tax increases on work -- we didn't tax corporation profits or workers or employer's PRSI -- we clearly gave an opportunity to the economy, a chance to improve its efficiency and let people retain in their pockets the money they earn
