Members of these communities live in the affected areas and know the survivors well
We said in the beginning -- the recovery process is a marathon, not a sprint
We will be better prepared simply because we've had the experience of going through the worst natural disaster we've ever had
I'm not saying everybody ought to go out and buy a football helmet
but if you've got one around the house, I'd sure know where it is.
It’s been one year since April 27, and we want to see how survivors are doing, coming back and putting things back together
I don't think it will take that long, not in Alabama ... I believe Alabamians are different. I just believe that people work hard, they get out; they help their neighbor.
It is important that officers in all phases of law enforcement be prepared for the potential threats they face ... I’m glad to contribute to the Board of Pardons and Paroles’ efforts to keep officers and civilians safe.
I will oppose any effort to raise taxes on Alabama families, and I will veto any tax increase.
If you live through a tornado and you are almost killed, it takes a while to get over it ... I want you to know I care about you.
