The train was busy, with a lot of passengers returning from the Rangers against St Mirren match at the Ibrox stadium
This is a different time and a different team, we have to do our job and get to the final. We didn’t start very well against St Mirren and Jamie (MacDonald) made some massive saves. That woke us up and we started to play and became the better team. Our supporters were incredible, it was like we won the ...
It was a very good game ... St Mirren started better and those first 15 minutes they were moving the ball very well. After that I think we took control of the game. I think we deserved victory. The boys worked very hard. We are all very, very happy to go to the semi-final.
St Mirren started better but not for as much time in the first tie at Tynecastle but we defended properly then ... We started playing after the penalty and in the end deserved the victory. In the second half we controlled the game, controlled possession, created problems and defended well.
I have been down there with Kilmarnock a couple of time fighting relegation ... I know what it takes and that’s one of the reasons I have been appointed. It’s going to be a fight but it’s going to be tough for the clubs above us as well. Saturday (against St Mirren) is a major game. Winning that would g...
We should be focussing on what we can control and what we can do, and right now what I have to do is go to the pitch and prepare the guys to do a very good job in Paisley. Life is too short: we shouldn’t lose too much time thinking about those things. I’m not worried about my future, just about Hearts a...
I am not worried about my future. I am just interested about Hearts and the St Mirren game. My future? That comes naturally.
The boys are buzzing now and it’s great to beat Hibs before we go into the cup game with St Mirren ... We’re absolutely delighted with how Sunday went and it creates a good spirit for tomorrow at Paisley. We’ll see what that brings. We feel Sunday’s result can push us on towards Europe. It’s given us a ...
It was a team effort and that’s what it needed to be ... Dundee United are on a terrific run and St Johnstone managed a good win at St Mirren. We all know that we have to play each other when we reach the split, if we had failed to win against Aberdeen we would have been looking over our shoulders.
For whatever reasons, we haven’t been able to beat them ... I wasn’t here, but I can see why they take points off teams. St Mirren are a good team. Last week (against Hearts) they could have been out of sight. At one stage they had about 30 passes. They have had quite a few draws or they could be higher...
But I came to St Mirren to play football and get games and I've now played over 100 for the club in just over two and a half years
At Dundee United I got a bad injury and at Aberdeen I was in and out of the team but I came to St Mirren to play football and get games and I've now played over 100 for the club in just over two and a half years.
It’s unfair to lose a stupid goal like that in the last five minutes but great credit to our players for changing the game ... It was a very good game for the fans. Now we have to be ready to go to St Mirren. Maybe for what they did in the first 30 minutes, they deserve a second match.
I believe it was a great match, a fantastic afternoon for those who saw the game. I believe that St Mirren were the best I have seen them at Tynecastle in the first 30 minutes. They were very well in the game, so after the first 30 minutes of the game was when we started playing and returned to the game...
Maybe St Mirren deserved a second game. We'll go and fight for the win.
In the first 30 minutes, St Mirren were the best team I had seen at Tynecastle all season
We didn’t under-estimate them at all and we know this season they have done well in the League Cup, beating Inverness, Hearts and St Mirren, while their form in the league has picked up a bit recently, They’ll be giving everything they have got to get through – but so will we.
We have to keep picking up points and now St Mirren on Saturday is our biggest game of the season because it’s our next. We’ve given ourselves something to build on and we have to make sure we take it by doing the right things and being totally professional.
It's a massive game at home to St Mirren next week. It's important that we stay focused.
