But mostly, I'm just really excited it's the Mariners -- because that's my favorite ballpark to play in ... I love the field there -- and the city of Seattle, as well. My fiancée came up there for a series last season and we went to the U2 concert, and all that was a great experience. I just like the la...

They were singing about love. I'm talking about live music, but for me they are one and the same. Ever since I saw Elton John from hot-air balloon distance on the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" tour in Chicago, I have loved rock 'n' roll concerts. U2,... Full Article at GoErie.com
Sure, at times the band can sound like another polished bunch of young U2 worshippers; but then again, its self-titled 2006 debut album explored a few wiggy, ambient synth and vocal sounds on Warner Brothers' dime. 2009’s follow-up, Armistice, expands... Full Article at The A.V. Club

Jesus, if this is what the Icelandic financial crisis is doing to Icelandic music, what the hell is going to happen to ours? I really fear for U2’s next album.
YORK - All those negative news stories about "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," the accident-prone Broadway show with a reported $65 million budget, had an unintended consequence. They have made the musical by U2's Bono and the Edge, which was widely... Full Article at Minneapolis Star Tribune
It was late 1984, and I was in the living room playing Nerf basketball and listening to the radio from my parents’ coffin-sized wood-paneled stereo. The DJ announced the new single from the group, “Pride (In the Name of Love),” from the upcoming album... Full Article at My Hmphs

I think a lot of audience members coming to the concert grew up in that era. But it goes across the demographics. Sinatra did duets albums, like with Bono. People who liked U2 found out about Sinatra. He's a rare icon that spans generations
I have good memories also from the outdoor concerts that I was able to work — the Eagles, Bon Jovi shows, this past spring doing the U2 concert, which was huge out here
Bono concedes that revisiting the album where U2 punched themselves out of a tight corner – after 1988's Rattle and Hum movie and album helped convince some music fans they were hopelessly solemn and pompous – suggested a way forward
Ask Bono a tough question and you might get a tougher answer. U2 are about to release their most expansive reissue project yet, for 1991's Achtung Baby – the album where they traded in earnest uplift for funk, noise, sex, irony and self-doubt. So how does this lavish look back square with the band's old...
Initially recorded at Hansa Studios, a former SS ballroom near the reopened Berlin Wall (and later completed back home in Dublin), Achtung was an effort, stoked primarily by Bono and the Edge, to 'deconstruct' the band and rewire it with jolts of beat-generated clutter and collage, nicked from industria...
And the melody line, and I have to say the synthesizer line, the way it begins, that little hook. So it sounded right, it sounded right for its time on the radio. It sounded good coming out of U2 or whatever else was on the radio at that time.
But of course what they've done for Irish music — U2, The Corrs — we just wanna respect that. If we could replicate any of the success it would be fantastic
Bono told me how to dance in high heels and he also told me about U2's Glastonbury performance and how everything that could have possibly gone wrong went wrong, including him ripping his trousers on stage. I think he was lunging and his trousers ripped! He was telling me how he had to find a new way of...
